Product Description

2009 Christy Award winner In the small town of Dogwood, West Virginia, Karin has buried her shattered dreams by settling for a faithful husband whose emotional distance from her deep passions and conflicts leaves her isolated. Loaded with guilt, she tries to raise three small children and x201C;do life x201D; the best she can. Will returns to Dogwood intent on pursuing the only woman he has ever loved x2014;only to find there is far more standing in his way than lost years in prison. The secrets of Will and Karin's past begin to emerge through Danny Boyd, a young boy who wishes he hadn't survived the tragedy that knit those two together as well as tore them apart. The trigger that will lay their pain bare and force them to face it rather than flee is the unlikely figure of Ruthie Bowles, a withered, wiry old woman who leads Karin so deep into her anger against God that it forces unexpected consequences.

About the Author

Chris Fabry

Chris Fabry

Popular Christian author Chris Fabry has a variety of best-selling titles to his credit, including Spiritually Correct Bedtime Stories, Away with the Manger, The H.I.M. Book, and The 77 Habits of Highly Effective Christians. He has written numerous articles for Focus on the Family magazine and the American Association of Christian Counselors periodical. Some of his other works are Too Busy Not to Pray, At the Corner of Mundane & Grace, and the Molehole Mystery series.

Left Behind-The Kids #6 The Underground, which Chris helped write, tells the story of the kids who are left behind and takes the next step in showing their faith as they release an underground newspaper at Nicolae High. Chris develops themes in these books also found throughout his other writings, including that we must be bold about our faith and use that faith to work through ethical dilemmas.

Chris and his wife, Andrea, are the parents of seven children and make their home in Bolingbrook, Illinois. While Chris has enjoyed careers at the Moody Bible Institute and in Christian radio, he believes his career as a husband and father is the real evidence of God's grace in his life.
